Verification Process – Adding Students to SER Experiences
A critical step to ensure your experience is added to your students’ SER is to verify their successful engagement and completion of the learning experience. This occurs when the experience concludes (similar to how students get a grade at the conclusion of the term, students have the experience added when they complete the co-curricular experience).
Why is completing validation important?
Validating student participation in the Spartan Experience Record activity allows the position/role the student held to display on their Spartan Experience Record (SER). Until their participation/learning is validated, it does not display on their SER. Once complete, students will be notified about the position added to their record.
We have two options to complete validation:
Option 1: Login to the Spartan Experience Record platform and Verify Your Students

Option 2: Provide Us with Helpful Information for the Spartan Experience Record Team to Verify Your Students
Please complete this form and find helpful information as to what should be included in the Excel document to assist us with verifying your students’ participation and learning. The Spartan Experience Record Team will contact you once we have completed the upload.
When should validation be completed?
In general, an experience can be verified once it concludes. Our team will reach out to let you know when to complete this step. Experiences that span the academic year should be validated by September 1.
